Dry Ice Blasting

Dry Ice Blasting

Dry ice blasting is a non-abrasive, chemical-free cleaning method that uses compressed air to accelerate dry ice (CO₂) pellets at high velocity. On contact, the dry ice sublimates, converting directly from solid to gas and lifting contaminants off the surface without abrasion, without moisture, and without damaging the underlying material. The result is a thorough clean that leaves no secondary waste behind.

Apex Mitigation uses dry ice blasting to remove mold residue, smoke and soot damage, fire char, and other contaminants from structural wood framing, concrete, and other surfaces that would be damaged or soaked by conventional cleaning methods.

  • Removes mold, smoke damage, soot, and biological contaminants

  • Non-abrasive and does not damage wood framing, concrete, or other substrates

  • No water, no chemicals, no secondary waste to clean up

  • Safe around electrical components and in enclosed spaces

Unlike sandblasting or chemical treatments, dry ice blasting introduces no new moisture into a structure, making it the ideal cleaning solution during or after water damage remediation. It is especially effective for cleaning exposed wood framing in crawl spaces, attics, and wall cavities where mold has taken hold. Surfaces are left clean and ready for treatment or reconstruction immediately after blasting.

  • Ideal for crawl spaces, attics, wall cavities, and structural framing

  • Equipment reaches tight and confined areas without disassembly

  • Can be performed alongside drying operations without interference
